Olivier Freymuth is an experienced international wine buyer, importer and portfolio strategist with more than two decades of experience sourcing, developing and selling wines across global markets.

As Director of Wine at CN Foods, Olivier leads the company’s wine strategy, portfolio development and distribution growth, connecting distinctive producers with independent retailers, convenience stores and hospitality customers across the UK.

Olivier began his wine career by establishing Best Wine Selection in 2002. He later gained extensive international buying and commercial experience with major wine businesses, including ASC Fine Wines in Shanghai, where he worked with producers from established and emerging regions and helped develop their presence in the Chinese market.

After returning to Europe, Olivier held wine buying, consultancy and portfolio roles with businesses including Genesis Wines, VIDA Wines & Spirits and Propeller Wine. His career has involved sourcing wines from France, Spain, Italy, Central and Eastern Europe, Australia, South America and other developing wine regions.

Known for seeking out wines with individuality, commercial relevance and a clear point of difference, Olivier brings the London Wine Competition a valuable combination of international sourcing expertise, UK market knowledge and practical understanding of what helps a wine succeed on the retail shelf.
